LIVE: PearlPalooza @ North Pearl Street, 9/12/15

Yes, there were three free music festivals in downtown Albany on Saturday, September 12, but the Hispanic Heritage Celebration was held indoors at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center, and the Albany Riverfront Jazz Festival was wisely re-located to the rain site. But the sixth annual PearlPalooza – with two outdoor stages on North Pearl Street in Albany – got hammered with the rain storm that rolled in mid-afternoon.
While there were indeed a few hardy souls who didn’t mind cavorting in the rain, attendance was way down by the time headliner Matisyahu took his turn at the microphone.
Too bad, because the day-long fest bosated a pretty solid line-up of musical talent, both national (Until the Ribbon Breaks, The Moth & the Flame, Turbo Fruits) and local (Better By Morning , Wild Adriatic, Eastbound Jesus).
