The Egg Announces Three New Shows
The Egg in Albany has added three new shows to its 2015-16 performance schedule. Tickets are currently available to members of The Egg and will go on sale to the general public at 11am on Wednesday, September 2.
Here are the details of the three new shows:
THE ZUCCHINI BROTHERS’ HOLIDAY SHOW
Sunday, December 6, 3pm
$12 for children; adults free when accompanied by a child
Nippertown’s favorite family rock n’ roll band, the Zucchini Brothers – Jack, Steve & Sam – return with their “words of wisdom set to foot-tapping music” and original holiday songs.
“GOOD NIGHT MOON” AND “THE RUNAWAY BUNNY”
Sunday, December 13, 3pm
$15 for children; adults free when accompanied by a child
Adapted from Margaret Wise Brown’s 60-year-old classic, “Goodnight Moon” is a celebration of familiar nighttime rituals, while “The Runaway Bunny” is a pretend tale of leaving home that evokes reassuring responses from his loving mum. Both feature the endearing animal puppets, stunning scenic effects and evocative music that have earned international recognition for the Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia.
THE FAB FAUX
Saturday, April 30, 7:30pm
$39, $49 & $66
Unlike Beatles tribute bands who sport wigs and period costumes to recreate a Beatles concert, the Fab Faux instead features some of New York’s top studio musicians playing songs rarely or never performed live by the Beatles themselves. The Fab Faux will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1966 release of the ground-breaking album Revolver – performing the album in its entirety along with other fan favorites accompanied by the Crème Tangerine Strings and the Hogshead Horns.
