MUSIC: Felicia Collins & the Life @ the Music Haven in Central Park, Schenectady. After two decades with the CBS Orchestra on “The Late Show With David Letterman,” the Albany-bred guitarist returns to make her own music for the hometown crowd. Collins is a formidable instrumentalist, but also a fine singer, and The Life tackles blues, funk and rock with equal poise. With Bobbie Van Detta & the Split. 7pm. FREE.
MUSIC: Heather Pierson Trio @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. Accompanied by Shawn Nadeau (upright bass) and Davy Sturtevant (guitar, mandolin, dobro, fiddle, cornet), her live performances move seamlessly from New Orleans jazz and blues to rousing Americana and poignant, original ballads.
