Craig Wayne Boyd – the Texas singer-songwriter who emerged as the winner of season 7 of NBC-TV’s singing competition “The Voice” last year – rode into Nippertown recently to headline Country Night of the Capital Concert Series at Albany’s Empire State Plaza.
Sharing the stage for the evening was the up-and-coming Nashville-based quintet LANco. and Local 518 faves the Chris Dukes Band.
NOTE: There is no concert at the Empire State Plaza tonight (Wednesday, July 1), as they gear up for the big Fourth of July celebration on Saturday. The concert series resumes at 5pm next Wednesday (July 8) with “smooth jazz” saxman Kim Waters.
