MUSIC: Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience @ the Palace Theatre, Albany. Yes, he’s the son of the late Led Zep drummer John Bonham. And, yes, he’ll be behind the drums as the band plays Led Zeps first two albums in the entirety, along with greatest hits and deep album cuts. 8pm. $29.50, $39.50, $49.50 & $69.50.

MUSIC: Montgomery Gentry @ the Upstate Concert Hall, Clifton Park. Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry bring their rockin’ country sounds to town. With the Back 40 Band. 8pm. $15.

TELEVISION: “The Voice” @ Proctors’ GE Theatre, Schenectady. Can he win it all? Watch Sawyer Fredericks in the season finale. Or, of course, you can stay home and watch on your own TV. 8pm. FREE.

READING/PERFORMANCE: Nitty Gritty Poetry Slam @ the Low Beat, Albany. It’s the big one – the Grand Slam with eight poets – Kevin Peterson, Amani, Poetyc Visionz, Samson Dikeman, L-Majesty, D. Colin, Daniel Summerhill and Elizag – competing for spots on the team to represent NGPS at the nationals in Oakland.

MUSIC: Gideon @ Bogie’s, Albany. The end is near for Bogie’s. Enjoy it while you can… With Texas in July, Kublai Khan, Silent Planet, Trife Life and Open Casket Division. 7pm. $15. UPDATE: This show and all other shows scheduled for Bogie’s have been cancelled. Bogie’s is now officially closed.

DANCE: Aboriginal Waves: Dance of Taiwan @ The Egg, Albany. Celebrate Taiwanese American Heritage Week with Austronesian dance presented by the Indigenous Dance Troupe National Dong Hwa University of Taiwan. 7:30pm. FREE.

THEATER: “Butler” @ Barrington Stage Co.’s St. Germain Stage, Pittsfield. It’s the New England premiere of the uproariously funny, witty and very moving play based on actual events that changed the lives of over 10,000 slaves during the Civil War. 7:30pm. Through Saturday, June 13.
