Jazz pianist Daniel Kelly and his band will take the stage at the Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy for a concert at 7pm on Saturday (May 9).

But this promises to be something other than a typical jazz concert.

The trio will be performing in conjunction with the opening reception for the new photography exhibition, “What Is Seeing?,” in the Sanctuary’s Underground Gallery. The exhibit features the work of the Seeing with Photography Collective, a group of photographers based in New York City who are blind, visually impaired and sighted, who will also be offering a workshop at 3pm on Saturday.

And following a potluck dinner at 5pm, the collective will also be photographing the evening concert while Kelly and his cohorts perform.

Tickets are $15 for the Daniel Kelly Trio concert at the Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy at 7pm on Saturday.

BUT WAIT… there’s more. We’re giving away a pair of FREE TICKETS for the concert to some lucky Nippertown reader! To enter the contest, just post a comment below.
