Say Goodbye to Bogie’s…

Yes, you may have heard the rumors, but now it’s official – Bogie’s is closing.

It’s been a good six-year run, but Bogie’s – Albany’s haven for metal, hip-hop, hardcore and all manner of hard rockin’ headbangers – is planning to shutter its doors for good after one final blowout on Sunday, May 31.

Upstate Black N Blue Productions took over the operations of Bogie’s with a grand opening bash featuring the Erotics, Horror Business, Hijinx, Society High and Pistol Shot Gypsy back on June 5, 2009.

But as posted yesterday (Monday, April 27) on the Upstate Black N Blue website:

“As of June 1st, Bogie’s will no longer be hosting any shows. We will be closing the doors permanently. All shows from June 1st going forward will be at TRICKSHOTS, THE FUZEBOX, THE LOFT and THE CHANCE THEATER and occasionally at UPSTATE CONCERT HALL.”
