NYS Music March Madness: Sweet Sixteen Results; Elite Eight Voting Now Open

Hard Soul’s Cinderella story didn’t have a fairytale ending…
As the No. 16 seed in the Metal/Rock/Punk division of the inaugural NYS Music March Madness competition (which is determined by online fan voting), Johnny Salka and his band Hard Soul had vanquished No. 1 seed Every Time I Die in the opening round and No. 9 seed Perfect Pussy in round two.
But the dream is over for Hard Soul, who are now headed home after No. 12 seed, Saratoga’s Jesus Christ & the Hallucinogenic Allstars edged them out of the competition by the narrowest of margins in the voting for the Sweet Sixteen round, which wrapped up last night (Thursday, March 26).
Voting is now open for the Elite Eight of the NYS Music March Madness, and the deadline to make your vote count is 12midnight on Monday (March 30). GO HERE to cast your votes… Here’s how the brackets shape up:
