MUSIC: Kalin & Myles @ Upstate Concert Hall, Clifton Park. The Northern California duo blends hip-hop and pop. They call it hip-pop. With Jacquie Lee and Anjali. 7pm. $28.

MUSIC: The Levin Brothers @ the Iron Horse Music Hall, Northampton. In case you missed ’em at the Van Dyck last weekend, you’ll have another chance to catch bass master Tony Levin and his older brother-keyboardist Pete Levin throw down some cool jazz. 7pm. $25.

THEATER: “Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl” @ UAlbany Performing Arts Center’s Recital Hall, Albany. The “page to stage” production by American Place Theatre is a verbatim adaptation of Harriot Jacobs’ book of the same name, an inspiring tale of resilience and survival that recounts the author’s seven years spent hiding out as a fugitive in “The Loophole,” a crawl space in her grandmother’s attic, in order to protect her children and ensure their eventual freedom. 7:30pm; 7pm pre-show discussion. $20; $15 students & seniors.

COMEDY: The Low Down Comedy Open Mic @ the Low Beat, Albany. Hosted by James Holy Diver King. 7:30pm sign-up; 8pm laughs.

FILM/DISCUSSION: “Talking About Justice” @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. A round table discussion with local justice reform advocates, teachers and allies, as well as a screening of author/activist Bryan Stevenson’s 2012 TED Talk, “We Need to Talk About an Injustice,” which received a double standing ovation and raised more than $1 million from attendees to fund a campaign run to end the practice of putting children in adult jails and prisons. 6pm. FREE.
