Whoa! Back in 1983, Local 518 punk pioneers Capitle played at Albany’s Chateau Lounge with southern California punk legends Channel 3. Well, both bands are joining forces once again at the Low Beat in Albany at 8pm on Saturday, March 14, along with Aggressive Response, Scuzz and Teenage Shred. And the Low Beat is also hosting a power-packed, double-barreled blast of solo artists who rock like bands – Hamell On Trial and Bloodshot Bill team up at 8pm on Thursday, April 9. Tickets are $10 for each show.

Dallas-based Crown the Empire rolls into the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park at 7:30pm on Saturday, May 9 in support of their recently released debut album, The Fallout. Volumes open the show. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $15 in advance; $17 at the door. Also, Utah deathcore band Chelsea Grin rips up UCH with the Word Alive and Like Moths to Flames on Thursday, May 7. Priced at $18 in advance ($20 at the door), tickets go on sale on Tuesday (March 10).

Here’s something interesting – As part of the Woodstock Writers Festival, the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock will host a conversation with music/pop culture writer Will Hermes and Blondie co-founding guitarist Chris Stein at 8pm on Friday, March 20. Tickets are $35.
Three-time Grammy Award-winner Gotye is slated to join Zammuto in concert at MASS MoCA’s Hunter Center in North Adams at 8pm on Saturday, March 21. Tickets are still available for $18 in advance.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Chicago and Earth Wind & Fire are teaming up for the summer-long Heart & Soul Tour, which has scheduled a tour stop at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday, March 13.

Two new concerts have been announced as part of the Ahora, Latin/Jazz! spring concert season at Union College’s Emerson Auditorium in Schenectady. Cuban pianist Elio Villafranca and Greek classical guitarist Spiros Exaras team up as a duo at 8pm on Friday, April 24, while bassist Ben Allison leads his Latin jazz trio Think Free at 8pm on Friday, May 15. Admission to each concert is $15 in advance; $20 at the door.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Lady Antebellum takes the stage at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs with Hunter Hayes and Sam Hunt. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (March 6).
POSTPONED: Originally scheduled for Sunday, April 12, Big Sean’s concert at the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park has been postponed to Wednesday, May 6. All tickets purchased for the original date will be honored.
In addition to her previously announced pops concert at Tanglewood in Lenox at 2:30pm on Sunday, July 5, Tony Award-winning Broadway singer-actress Bernadette Peters will also perform at the Bardavon’s Gala in Poughkeepsie at 7pm on Sunday, May 17 ($100, $150 & $200; on sale at 11am on Friday, March 13), as well as joining the Philadelphia Orchestra for their opening night concert at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs at 8pm on Wednesday, August 5 ($35-$87 reserved amphitheater seats; $24 lawn admission; FREE lawn admission for children age 12 and under; on sale at 10am on Tuesday, March 24).

The Linda in Albany has added a couple of new singer-songwriters concerts for the spring season – Caroline Rose at 8pm on Friday April 17 ($15) and Heather Maloney with Will Dailey at 8pm on Saturday, April 25 ($18).
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Superstar dance siblings Julianne & Derek Hough – who are now bigger stars than the “stars” that they’ve danced with on “Dancing With the Stars” – bring their new Move Live on Tour 2015 to the Palace Theatre in Albany. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday (March 6).
UPDATE: In addition to her previously announced 7pm show at The Egg in Albany on Friday, March 27, comedian Lisa Lampanelli has added a second show at 10pm that same night.
Zach Deputy is headed into the Hollow Bar + Kitchen in Albany with the Organically Good Trio (featuring Paul Wolstencraft from Slightly Stoopid) at 9:30pm on Thursday, April 9. Tickets are $14 in advance; $17 at the door.
