Mountain Jam Announces Headlining Bands

The annual Mountain Jam returns to Hunter Mountain from Thursday-Sunday, June 4-7, and organizers have just announced the first round of bands slated to perform:

Gov’t Mule, moe. and – drum roll, please – the Black Keys.

The Black Keys dynamic duo – featuring Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney – will be headlining the Saturday night. The twosome has already won six Grammy Awards, and they’ve been nominated for three more in 2015: Best Rock Album for Turn Blue, Best Rock Song for “Fever” and Best Rock Performance for “Fever.”

Former Nippertonians moe. – who are scheduled to ring in the new year with a two-night stand at the Palace Theatre on Tuesday & Wednesday, December 30 & 31 – will be making their Mountain Jam debut as the headliners on Thursday, June 4.

Guitarslinger Warren Haynes leads Gov’t Mule – who recently wowed the crowd in concert at the Palace Theatre last month – will play two shows at Mountain Jam, including a very special late night Dark Side of the Mule set performing the music of Pink Floyd.

Early bird tickets for the 11th annual Mountain Jam are now on sale. Three-day (Friday-Sunday) tickets are $185; $219 with camping. Four-day all-festival tickets are $205; $239 with camping. VIP tickets are also available.

I hate to be a stickler, actually I think it’s kind of fun, but I am almost 100% certain that the Black Keys played SPAC way back around 2000 opening for Beck and Dashboard Confessional.

Right you are, OswegoMatt! Thanks for your sticklerness. It was actually June 8, 2003…
