The Egg Announces Three New Concerts

The Egg in Albany has added three more new concerts to its schedule. Tickets for the new shows are currently available only to members of The Egg and will go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (October 17).

Here’s the round-up of new concert announcements for The Egg:

Friday, December 19, 8pm
Nick Lowe’s Quality Holiday Revue arrives in time to sprinkle some much needed Christmas cheer. Starring none other than… Nick Lowe, the show will feature a few brand-new Christmas classics from his 2013 holiday album, Quality Street, as well as carefully chosen selections from his back catalog of hits and near misses. Nick will appear both solo and backed by a sharp-dressed rock & roll combo who will bring along some Yuletide treats of their own.

Saturday, February 14, 7:30pm
The fab folk trio Red Molly – Laurie MacAllister, Abbie Gardner and Molly Venter – performs original works composed by each of the group members, as well as covers of other songwriters, as heard on their latest album, The Red Album. They played a marvelous show at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall back in May, and this is sure to be a lovely Valentine’s Day concert…

Saturday, March 21, 8pm
Pianist-composer Michele Rosewoman was a highlight of the 2013 Jazz at the Lake festival in Lake George, and she returns to Nippertown with her nine-piece New Yor-Uba band in celebration of 30 years of Cuban jazz in America blending modern jazz, sophisticated funk, dynamic electric fusion and elements of Cuban folkloric music, to create a distinct musical experience.
