MUSIC: Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo @ The Egg, Albany. The four-time Grammy Award-winning belter and her husband-guitarist-producer churn out such hits as “Heartbreaker,” “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” “Hell Is for Children,” “Shadows of the Night,” “Love Is a Battlefield” and more. 8pm. $59.50, $72.50 & $99. THEATER: “Newsies” @ Proctors, Schenectady. Direct from Broadway comes “Newsies,” the 2012 Tony Award-winning musical from Disney about a band of newspaper boys who become unlikely heroes when they stand up to the most powerful men in New York. 7:30pm. $20-$100.
THEATER: “Other Desert Cities” @ Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany. Pultizer Prize-winning playwright Jon Robin Baitz’s comedy/drama about prodigal daughter Brooke Wyeth, who returns to her Palm Springs Desert home to celebrate the holidays after six years away and announces plans to publish her childhood memoir – complete with revelations of deep family secrets.
