MUSIC: The Miro Sprague Quintet @ Clark Art Institute, Williamstown. In support of his new album, Blue Dreaming, jazz pianist-composer Miro Sprague is joined by Josh Johnson (alto sax), Eric Miller (trombone), Marty Jaffe (bass) and Paul Wiltgen (drums). 1pm. FREE.
MUSIC: The Charlie Daniels Band @ HITS-On-the-Hudson, Saugerties. Gates open at 8pm with championship equestrian events and fall harvest food fest events throughout the day followed by the concert at 5pm. $25; FREE children 12 and under.
THEATER: “Failing Forward: A Bluesical” @ the Falcon, Marlboro. A theatrical production heavy on music – rock, soul, blues, and Broadway – about second chances. Ken Kirsh, the show’s composer, describes it this way: “If Adele and John Mayer had a baby, got divorced, and Louis CK raised it in the theater district… it’s kinda like that.” 7pm.
