The Palace Theatre will play host to perennial SPAC faves O.A.R. in support of their latest album, The Rockville LP. The band will take the Palace stage at 8pm on Wednesday, November 26 (Thanksgiving eve). Priced at $29.75, $34.75, $39.75 & $49.75, tickets will go on sale to Palace members on Tuesday (August 12) and to the general public on Friday, August 15.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Troy Savings Bank Music and the College of St. Rose’s Massry Center for the Arts announced a new joint two-day music fest, the Bridge Jazz Festival, which will feature performances by the Marcus Roberts Trio, the Anat Cohen Quartet, the Fred Hersch Trio, Cecile Mclorin Salvant, the Gretchen Parlato/Alan Hampton Duo and more to be announced…

Clifton Park’s Upstate Concert Hall will be throbbing to the sounds of Lacuna Coil on Saturday, October 11. Devil You Know and Starset kick off the evening’s festivities at 7pm. Priced at $18 in advance ($20 at the door), tickets go on sale at 10am on Saturday (August 9). Also new at UCH this week is Australian singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett & San Fermin with Mikhael Paskalev at 8pm on Thursday, October 23. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (August 8) priced at $10.27 for the first 102 tickets sold, then $13 in advance thereafter and $15 at the door,

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Egg in Albany announced a half dozen new concerts, including Chad & Jeremy, Habana Sax, Brett Dennen, the trio of Lucy Kaplansky, Richard Shindell & Larry Campbell, the dazzling guitar duo of Nels Cline & Julian Lage and the husband-and-wife fiddle duo of Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy. Tickets go on sale on Friday (August 8).

The Massry Center for the Arts at Albany’s College of St. Rose has announced the schedule of concerts for their Premiere Performances series, and among the talented musicians will be gracing the stage are the John Pizzarelli Quartet, Mary Lambert, the Band tribute band the Weight, Sean Rowe, Howie Day, Tim Reynolds, the Peanut Gallery Jazz Trio, Terrance Simien and the Funky Meters.

The Steamer No. 10 Theatre in Albany kicks off it fall Eclectic Performances series with a concert by neo-traditional Americana band Wild Ponies in support of their latest album, Things That Used to Shine. The Nashville trio steps into the Steamer spotlight at 8pm on Friday, September 5.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Ray LaMontagne will be leading his band into the Palace Theatre in support of his new album, Supernova. The Belle Brigade opens the show. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, August 15.

The Calvin Theatre in Northampton has announced several new upcoming concerts including Tweedy (featuring Wilco bandleader Jeff Tweedy and his son Spencer) at 8pm on Saturday, September 27 ($39.50 & $49.50); Australian roots rockers the John Butler Trio at 8pm on Saturday, November 22 ($32.50); and O.A.R. at 8pm on Sunday, November 23 ($40). Tickets for all three new shows go on sale on Friday (August 8).

OPENERS: Woodstock’s Sleepers Bells has been added to the bill Brooklyn-based indie-rock duo Widowspeak and Nippertown’s own Hand Habits at Club Helsinki in Hudson at 8pm on Wednesday, August 27, making for a dream-pop mini-fest… On the other end of the music spectrum, Probing Digit has been added as the opening act for John “Doctor Dirty” Valby at the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park on Saturday, October 18…

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Dark Star Orchestra is returning to Albany’s Palace Theatre this fall.

Formerly of the Plimsouls, singer-songwriter Peter Case makes his Low Beat debut at 8pm on Friday, September 12. Advance tickets are on sale now for $10.

SOLD OUT: Luke Bryan’s That’s My Kind of Night Tour stop at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs on Sunday, August 17 is now officially sold out. Now, that’s my kind of night…
