MUSIC: The Dead Sessions @ the Parting Glass, Saratoga Springs. The Grateful Dead tribute band plays a post-Phish after-party, featuring a rotating cast of musicians. Tonight’s ensemble will feature drummer Kevin Shapiro (also the official Phish archivist) and guitarist Adam Terrell (of Assembly of Dust). $10.
ARTS WALK: First Friday @ various locations, Pittsfield. Yeah, the Fourth of July on Friday is messin’ up all kinds of stuff – like having First Friday on a Thursday… Enjoy more than 16 different art shows featuring work by 30+ accomplished regional artists, including Tina Sotis, F.X. Tobin, Naomi A. Schwartz and lots more. 5-8pm. FREE.
THEATER: The Mystery of Irma Vep: A Penny Dreadful @ Berkshire Theatre Group’s Fitzpatrick Main Stage, Stockbridge. Charles Ludlam’s classic romp of a gothic spoof is directed by Aaron Mark, and stars Bill Bowers and Tom Hewitt. 8pm. $42, $52 & $62. Through July 19.
