LIVE: Start Making Sense @ Putnam Den, 8/3/13

“You may ask yourself, how do I work this?
You may ask yourself, where is that large automobile?
You may tell yourself, this is not my beautiful house
You may tell yourself, this is not my beautiful wife…”
And this is not the Talking Heads, either.
But these days, tribute band Start Making Sense is as close as the current generation of young music fans is likely to get to seeing and hearing a Talking Heads concert.
And when David Byrne doppelganger Jon Braun stood at the microphone, a mass of quirks and tics, at Putnam Den in Saratoga Springs last Saturday night, it was almost the same as it ever was…
The band is based out of Bethlehem, PA, but they’ve become quite the regulars here on the Nippertown scene since making their area debut at the Bella Terra Festival back in 2010. And they’ll be back in town again next month – at the Hollow Bar + Kitchen in Albany on Friday, September 27 – so if you’ve got a hankering to hear more songs about buildings and food and little creatures, mark your calendars now. Start Making Sense does ’em up right…
