MUSIC: Pentatonix @ The Egg, Albany. The a cappella vocal sensations and winners of season three of NBC-TV’s “The Sing-Off,” Pentatonix are taking instrument-free music far beyond the norm, pairing their intricate arrangements with cleverly re-imagined pop songs. 8pm. $30.
MUSIC: Bret Michaels @ Empire State Plaza, Albany. The lead singer for Poison and reality TV show regular (most recently on “Celebrity Apprentice”), Michaels leads his other band onto the Plaza for a hard-rockin’, unskinny-boppin’ show at 7:30pm. With Stellar Young (6pm) and Hair Band Riot (5pm). FREE.
MUSIC: Exiles On River Street @ the Green Island Bridge parking lot, Troy. The Rockin’ on the River concert series continues with a Rolling Stones tribute band featuring Tommy Love and the Stone Revival Band. With Wild Adriatic. 5pm. FREE.
