Broadway Veterans Bring “Avenue Q” to Adirondack Theatre Festival, July 25 – Aug. 3 [Berkshire on Stage]
Adirondack Theatre Festival’s summer season continues with AVENUE Q – the smash-hit Broadway musical about real life, as told by a cast of people and puppets through a hilariously irreverent, Tony Award-winning book and score. Onstage July 25 – August 3 at the Charles R. Wood Theater, 207 Glens Street in downtown Glens Falls.
Tickets are going fast (less than 900 remain for the two-week run) and may be purchased online at ATFestival.org, over the phone at (518)874-0800 or in person at the theater’s box office.
Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical, AVENUE Q tells the story of Princeton, a bright-eyed college grad who moves to NYC with big dreams and a tiny bank account. The only apartment he can afford is way out on Avenue Q, where everyone’s looking for the same things he is: a decent job, a stable relationship, and a “purpose.” He meets the girl next door, a Republican, an internet sexpert, Gary Coleman, Lucy the Slut (need we say more?) and many other colorful types who help him embrace the ups and downs of city life and realizes that “the real world” isn’t so bad, after all!
