VIDEO: Sean Rowe on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

Just a week and a half ago, the booming Troy-based singer-songwriter Sean Rowe was playing a sold-out show at Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs. But he made his network television debut last night on ABC-TV’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” performing “Downwind” from his sophomore Anti- Records album, The Salesman and the Shark. His backing band featuring Railbird’s Sarah Pedinotti (keyboards and vocals), Chris Kyle (guitar), Chris Carey (drums) and Ben Campbell (bass).

Rowe and his band also performed a second song, “Old Shoes,” at the show, although it was not aired. We’ve got it for you, though, and here it is:

Rowe also performed on KCRW-FM’s “Morning Becomes Eclectic” on Monday, and he’s slated to take the stage of the famed Troubadour for a concert in Los Angeles tonight.

At the moment, the next local date on Rowe’s tour itinerary is at 8pm on Sunday, June 23 at Hudson’s Club Helsinki, where he’ll share the stage with the Handsome Family. Tickets are $20.

I may be a little bit biased in favor, but that really was one of the best performances I’ve seen one on network TV in quite a while. Great job, Sean, Chris and the rest of Railbird!
