MUSIC: Ben Frost @ EMPAC at RPI, Troy. Frost’s music exploits the physicality of sound, using every extreme of pitch and volume with visceral intensity. Influenced by classical minimalism as well as punk rock and metal, he creates monolithic sounds. It’s low and loud, a preview of his upcoming album. 7:30pm. $18; students & seniors $13. MUSIC: Separated at Birth @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. Led by a pair of veteran keyboard kingpins – the veteran Tony Perrino and youngster Jared Alpern – the new all-star Capital Region rock-blues band anchored by the ace rhythm section of bassist Tom Pirozzi and drummer Joey Rocco struts their stuff in support of their new self-titled album. 8pm.
