Three New Concerts at The Egg

Kicking off the new year, The Egg in Albany has added three more new concerts to its 2013 season. Tickets for the new shows are currently available to members of The Egg and will go on sale to the general public on Friday (January 4). Here are the new concerts: COWBOY JUNKIES Saturday, March 2, 7:30pm, $29.50 Led by the haunting vocals of Margo Timmins, the Canadian ambient blues band perform their breakthrough album, 1988’s The Trinity Session, in its entirety, as well as new material. BUCKY PIZZARELLI & FRANK VIGNOLA Thursday, March 7, 7:30pm, $24 Two generations of jazz guitar virtuosos join forces for an evening of finely crafted classics from the great American songbook – joined by six-string phenom Vinny Raniolo. HOT TUNA With Jill Sobule Friday, June 21, 8pm, $38.50 An evening with the original, acoustic Hot Tuna – Jorma Kaukonen on guitar and Jack Casady on bass – joined by mandolin master Barry Mitterhoff.
