MUSIC: David Grover @ the Unicorn Theatre, Stockbridge. Berkshire County’s favorite kid-friendly musician is joined by BTG PLAYS! Children’s Chorus and Grover’s Gang for a family friendly concert. 11am. $15; children $10.

FILM: “Smashed” @ Saratoga Arts Center, Saratoga Springs. Spouses Kate (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Charlie (Aaron Paul of “Breaking Bad”) have many things in common, including a love for alcohol. When she decides to clean up her act, they discover the answer to the big question: Can their marriage survive sobriety? Directed by James Ponsoldt. $7; students $5. 7:30pm. MUSIC: Oven Phresh @ Valentine’s Music Hall, Albany. 9pm.

FILM: “Celeste” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. A 1981 film written and directed by Percy Adlon that depicts the creative process of Marcel Proust and his relationship with his young French housekeeper, Celeste Albaret. 8pm. $7; students $5.

MUSIC: Astro Safari USA @ Putnam Den, Saratoga Springs. With the Heart Foundation, Jonathan Brunner and Stellar Young. 8pm. $7.

FILM: “The Lady Vanishes” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. From 1938, it’s Alfred Hitchcock’s most quick-witted and devilish comic thriller. 6pm. $7; students $5.

MUSIC: Big Al Anderson @ the Iron Horse Music Hall, Northampton. The former NRBQ guitarist and his band team up with two more NRBQ alum, the Spaminato Brothers, each playing a full set, followed by a joint set of NRBQ classics. $35. Also 7pm on Friday. UPDATE: This show is sold out.

MUSIC: Jody Shayne @ the Stockade Inn, Schenectady. With pianist David Caldwell Mason and bassist Russ Brooks. 7pm. FREE.
