MUSIC: Trans-Siberian Orchestra @ Times Union Center, Albany. The laser-ific, prog-rockin’ TSO are back once again for their annual holiday arena rock extravaganza. For this year’s yuletide spectacular, they’re raising the roof with “The Lost Christmas Eve.” 7:30pm. $33, $43, $53, $63 & $73.

MUSIC: Dala @ MCLA Gallery 51, North Adams. The utterly charming, award-winning, folk-pop duo of Amanda Walther and Sheila Carabine will get you into the spirit of the season with “A Very Special Holiday Show.” 7:30pm. $10.

FILM: “Chasing Ice” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. Director Jeff Orlowski and acclaimed environmental photographer James Balog explore the Earth’s evolving climate change at the Arctic. 8pm. $7; students $5.

FILM: “A Royal Affair” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. This film by Nikolaj Arcel is the true story of an ordinary man who wins the queen’s heart and starts a revolution – all centered on the intriguing love triangle between the ever more insane Danish King Christian VII (Mikkel Boe Følsgaard), the royal physician Struensee (Mads Mikkelsen) and the young Queen Caroline Mathilda (Alicia Vikander). 5:30pm. $7; students $5.
