Real Good For Free: Annual Community Dance Day @ Jacob’s Pillow, 7/10/11
Put on your dancing shoes; Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival is inviting visitors of all ages to participate in its annual, community-wide celebration this Friday, July 10, from 9:30am to 12:30pm.
In addition to performances by the New England Tap Ensemble and Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company, the day includes free workshops, a raffle, tours of the historic grounds and picnicking and mingling on the Great Lawn. The Pillow’s historic archives will be open to the public throughout the day along with Annie Leibovitz: DANCE, a Pillow exclusive photography exhibit featuring photos of widely known dancers and celebrities by famed portrait photographer.
Here’s the schedule: (no experience or special footwear needed)
