MUSIC: John Doe & Jill Sobule @ Club Helsinki Hudson, Hudson. Best known for his tenure in punk pioneers X, Doe is also an acclaimed singer-songwriter, poet and actor. Sobule, meanwhile, is still best known for her 1995 hit “I Kissed a Girl,” but she’s one of American pop music’s most under-appreciated singer-songwriters. Now, they’re performing together in support of their new album collaboration, “A Day at the Pass.” 8pm. $18.
MUSIC: Bob Gluck’s Something Quiet Trio @ the Recital Hall at UAlbany’s Performing Arts Center, Albany. Keyboardist Gluck, soprano saxophonist Joe Giardullo and bassist Christopher Dean Sullivan celebrate the release of their debut album, “Something Quiet.” 7pm. $8; seniors and students $4.
