Out of Work?
Yeah, it’s tough out there these days.
And while the folks at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall can’t help you find a job, they can help you save some money.
From now until Friday, March 25, Nippertown residents who are currently receiving unemployment benefits can purchase deeply discounted tickets to select performances at the Music Hall.
“Being unemployed can be difficult. It is financially and emotionally hard,” says the Music Hall’s interim executive director Cindy Garren. “The arts – especially live music – are inspiring! Through this discounted ticket program, we are supporting people in our community who have supported us for many years. We hope many people will take advantage of this opportunity.”
Anyone currently collecting unemployment benefits from the State of New York can purchase two tickets for $10.00 each* to the following performances:
THE WAILIN’ JENNYS – 8pm Saturday, March 26
IGUDESMAN AND JOO: A LITTLE NIGHTMARE MUSIC – 3pm Sunday, March 27
THE GUITAR ORCHESTRA OF BARCELONA – 8pm Saturday, April 9
STEVE LIPPIA: SIMPLY SINATRA – 7pm Sunday, April 10
THE SECOND CITY: FAIR AND UNBALANCED – 7:30pm Thursday, April 14

*To purchase tickets using this discount, tickets must be purchased in person at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall Box Office. You must provide proof, from the NYS Department of Labor, that you are receiving unemployment benefits and must present a photo ID. Offer is not good on phone or on-line orders. A limited number of tickets are available for each performance. Participants may purchase one pair of discounted tickets per performance. Offer expires on Friday, March 25. Tickets are subject to availability.
