Live: LarkFEST, Part III
While there were only two stages for music at Saturday’s LarkFEST street party, there was plenty of other stuff going on all up and down the street throughout the day.
Arts and crafts booths lined both sides of the street from Washington to Madison avenues. Food and adult beverages seemed to be for sale by vendors and local businesses everywhere.
Local jam band faves Dirty Paris served up their own off-the-books LarkFEST performance, commandeering Ben & Jerry’s as their indoor stage and drawing plenty of fans who crowded around the door to soak up the sounds.
There was side-street entertainment, too, including the Incredible Larry, who showed off some impressive fire-juggling.
And the Silent Disco had dozens of folks dancing to the thumping beat that only they could hear. Dancers were given wireless headphones, so they could hear the beats pumped out by the team of DJs onhand.
And let’s face it, the main attraction at LarkFEST has never really been the music. Rather, it’s all about people-watching.
