MUSIC: Ramblin Jug Stompers @ McGeary’s, Albany. New manager Tess Collins – yes, the Tess of Tess’ Lark Tavern – brings live music back to McGeary’s tonight, as Ramblin Jug Stompers re-launch their third-Monday-of-the-month residency. Funky acoustic Americana music with a whole mess o’ special guest musicians. And, oh yeah, it’s Bowtie’s birthday! 7pm. FREE.
FILM: “Viva Las Vegas” @ the Palace Theatre, Albany. Kicking off the Palace’s new classic film series season, Elvis teams up with Ann-Margret. The 1964 film was originally as as, “It’s That ‘Go-Go’ Guy and That ‘Bye Bye’ Gal in the Fun Capital of the World!” 7pm. $5; children 14 and under $3.
ART EXHIBITION: “Wired Kingdom” @ Arts Center of the Capital Region, Troy. A five-day exhibition of locally made digital and electronic art featuring the work of Patrick Dodson, Pete Edwards, Chris Harvey, Holland Hopson, Sean Hovendick, Rebekah Jarvis, Timothy Mahr, Ira Marcks and Angela Washko. Closing reception will be held at 5pm Friday. FREE.
MUSIC: Bleeding Through @ Northern Lights, Clifton Park. It’s an early-bird headbangin’ marathon in Clifton Park tonight with the California hardcore band headlining in support of their recent self-titled album on Rise Records. Rounding out the bill are After the Burial, For Today, the World Alive, Stray From the Path and Dust and Ashes. 6:30pm. $17.
MUSIC: Fusebox Poet @ Valentine’s Music Hall, Albany. Led by frontman Drew Cyphers, South Carolina’s Fusebox Poet offers a sneak preview of their upcoming debut album. With Secrets We Tell, Swift Robinson and Save the Year. 8pm.
