A late-breaking addition to the August calendar at Valentine’s Music Hall in Albany is Deke Dickerson at 8pm on Monday, August 23. The rockabilly-surf-country guitar phenom is supporting his new album, “King of the Whole Wide World.” Admission is just $8.
The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington has announced some new shows for its fall schedule, including tap dancer extraordinaire Jason Samuels Smith with the Curtis Lundy Quartet at 8pm on Saturday, September 25 ($52); guitar great Pat Metheny’s Orchestrion Tour at 7pm on Sunday, October 10 ($42, $67, $87) and Tiempo Libre at 7pm on Thursday, October 14 ($27, $37; 18 and under $7).
The Charles Wood Theater in Glens Falls is playing host to John Waite on Thursday, November 11. Waite – who scored big with his solo hit “Missing You” as well as in stints with the Babys and Bad English – will be performing in an acoustic trio format. Tix are $47.50.
