ART TALK/RECEPTION: Ven Voisey:Artifact @ The Berkshire Museum, Pittsfield. A multidisciplinary artist who frequently incorporates sound, light and motion into his work, North Adams’ Voisey has been artist-in-residence at the Berkshire Museum for the past few months. Tonight, he unveils “Artifact,” works created during his residency and influenced by the Museum’s environment. Voisey will talk about his residency and its impact on his work. 5pm. Free.

MUSIC: Eddie Money @ Alive at Five at Riverfront Park, Albany. Two tickets to paradise, please… With the Tom Healey Band opening. 5pm. Free.

MUSIC/FOOD: Frank Jaklitsch @ Cafe NOLA, Schenectady. It’s the grand opening of Chef Kevin Brown’s new restaurant – specializing in Cajun cuisine and all things New Orleans. With music by the ever-popular troubadour Frank Jaklitsch. BONUS: Free beignets with any entree all this month. 4pm. Free.

MUSIC: Mirk & the New Familiars @ The Linda, Albany. Mirk & Co. dish up their sparkling funk-hip-hop-pop-soul sound for the latest edition of the monthly CRUMBS Nite Out session. 7pm. Free.

BURLESQUE: Gypsy Layne Burlesque @ the Red Herring, Williamstown. Featuring seven bold, beautiful women of blithe spirit and lithe body. 11:30pm. $15.
