MUSIC: Daikaiju @ the Iron Horse Music Hall, Northampton. Hmm, could these guys be Huntsville, Alabama’s answer to Los Straitjackets? Daikaiju is the Japanese word for giant monster. It is also the name of this reverb-laden instrumental rock foursome that takes the stage dressed as action heroes wearing Japanese kabuki masks, ready to save the world. As their bio proudly proclaims, “Premium action heroes deliver most high rocket music! Special reverb skill combo for full impact! Loud sonic boom for earful pleasure! Beautiful radiation of hyper-dimensional springy sound creates divine psychic wind for your special protection. Worship Psycho-surf band Daikaiju daily for good luck and health.” With SPF-4. 7pm. $13.
MUSIC: Korn @ Northern Lights, Clifton Park. It’s deja vu time once again. Yeah, Korn popped into Northern Lights just last week, but as they say in “Poltergiest”: They’re baaaaaack… With 2 Cents. $45. UPDATE: Korn’s concert has been cancelled.
