New adds on the Northern Lights calendar up in Clifton Park include the one and only Snoop Dogg on Thursday, April 22 (on sale at 10am tomorrow (Thursday) – $30 in advance; $35 at the door), as well as Sevendust on Friday, May 7 with Saving Abel and Day of Fire (on sale at 10 am Friday – $22 in advance; $25 at the door) and TV reality show fodder Bret Michaels on Friday, May 21 (on sale 10am Saturday – $32.50 in advance; $35 at the door). Legendary blues piano pounder Pinetop Perkins leads an all-star blues band – featuring guitar hero Hubert Sumlin and drummer-harmonicat Willie “Big Eyes” Smith – in concert at Columbia Greene Community College’s Arts Center Theater in Hudson at 7pm on Saturday, May 1. Pura Fe opens the show. General admission tix are $22.
Girl Talk (aka, Greg Gillis) brings his head-spinning history of rock mix ‘n’ mash-ups to RPI’s East Campus Athletic Village in Troy at 9:30pm on Friday, April 30. Tix are just $10, but ya gotta have a college ID (any college) to get ’em. Facebook page here.

The Mississippi-based award-winning gospel group the Canton Spirituals land at the Washington Avenue Armory in Albany at 7pm on Saturday, April 17. Tix are $25.
The show by blues-rock singer Dana Fuchs that was scheduled for the Van Dyck on Friday, April 16 – after she postponed her original February 5 performance – has been cancelled.
