I recently saw a yard sale at a self-storage facility that included the contents of abandoned storage units. While I don’t wish ill-fortune on anyone, I can see why the contents were abandoned; what I don’t get is why anyone would actually pay money to store this stuff in the first place.

I don’t know the answers to these questions:
Why did anyone make this crap?
Why did anyone sell this crap?
Why did anyone buy this crap?
Why did anyone use this crap?

But I do know the answer to this question:
Why did anyone abandon this crap?!
