Link Roundup: Recycled Lamps

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

From the Tiena List comes news of a lampbuilding workshop this Thursday, 7pm, at The Furnace @ 84 Grand Street in Albany.

Make a Lamp Out of Anything (or Fix One You Already Have!!!)

We all love attractive lamps, don’t we? Do you have a lamp that’s busted
and you want to learn how to fix it? Or maybe you have a really awesome
bottle that would make a great lamp. This workshop will show you the
important things to keep in mind when building or fixing a lamp.
Participants are free to come and observe, though more may be learned if
one is prepared. It is suggested that those wanting to practice come with
at least 6 feet of lamp cord, a plug, and a replacement socket, a philips
and flat screwdriver, and a small pair of pliers. . If you don’t know what
those are, I’ll tell you at the workshop. If you wish to have materials
provided, please RSVP so they may be purchased. You will be responsible
for the costs of the materials.

Call Dave at (860) 262 3823 for more info.
