“Usually when I clean the house I like to play vinyl, because I have a record player that kind of broadcasts through the whole house. Lately I’ve been listening to old stuff – Carole King’s ‘Tapestry,’ Jackson Browne’s ‘Saturate Before Using’ and some old Nina Simone records. That’s what’s been on that turntable these days.”

Amy Ray teams up with Emily Saliers for a pair of upcoming Indigo Girls concerts: at the Woodstock Playhouse in Woodstock at 8pm on Sunday night ($75, $99); and at The Egg in Albany at 7:30pm on Tuesday ($32.50, $38.50, $55).
