New Release Rack: Walking X-Ray’s “Password”

Walking X-Ray: Password

Led by illustrator-author-artist-musician Ira Marcks, the Troy-based quartet of indie pop-rockers Walking X-Ray will celebrate the release of their new EP, Password, with a release party at Putnam Den in Saratoga Springs on Thursday (November 15).

The four-song, 12-minute EP was recorded this summer by Matt Moorman and is currently available online for pay-what-you-will.

At Putnam Den on Thursday Walking X-Ray will be joined by Sun Burdens. The music begins at 9pm, and admission is free.

Ira Marcks (late of the jangle-rock band Restys) has formed a new group called Walking X-Ray, which is sort of a “power pop meets confessional” quartet. According to him, you could look at any songwriter as a “walking x-ray” – inescapably revealing his inner core. Here, they are playing at Valentine’s for the Halloween Freak-Out last weekend…
