The folks from Tier One Talent held the inaugural Capital Area Live Music Awards at Trick Shot Billiards & Sports Pub in Clifton Park last Friday night (November 22).

NOTE: At least we’re calling them the Capital Area Live Music Awards because that was the first title of the event that we saw. (Elsewhere on the event’s website, they are also referred to as “Capital District Live Music Awards,” “Capital Area Music Awards,” “the Jammys” and “the Jammy’s.”)

The event is described as “an evening of awards honoring music artists from all genres who perform in the greater Albany, NY region.” Fans submitted nominations, and the top four nominees in each category became the final nominees. The winners in each of more than two dozen categories were chosen by an “anonymous panel comprised of radio DJs, members of musical community that represent each genre listed, promoters, venue owners, live audio engineers and select non-partisan live music fans.”
