Sublimely soulful singer-songwriter Sean Rowe would like to apologize to his Nippertown fans who were hoping to catch him in action at Brown’s Brewing Company in Troy on Friday night. He’s very sorry, but he won’t be able to be there.
Rowe was forced to cancel the gig at the last minute – because he’s going to be out of the country.
The closest dates are at the Wachovia Spectrum in Philly (Thursday, October 22) and the Madison Square Garden Arena in NYC (Friday, October 23), so if you really want to see Mr. Cohen, you’re gonna have to put on your traveling shoes.
Apparently, Alexi Laiho – singer-guitarist with the Helsinki, Finland-based metal band Children of Bodom – took a rather serious tumble in a tour bus accident earlier this month, breaking his shoulder and suffering internal bleeding.
“What can I say? I’m jinxed!,” Alexi declares on the band’s MySpace page. “End of story.”
Which means that the band has been forced to drop off of its current tour with headliners Lamb of God. The show will go on as scheduled at the Washington Avenue Armory on Wednesday, May 13 – but without Children of Bodom.
