The Marshall Tucker Band

Watching the Marshall Tucker Band fire up their simmering southern rock jams under the highway last week, it was hard to believe that they’ve been on the road touring for a more than 40 years. Yes, several of the other original key members of the band are no longer with us, but lead singer Doug Gray’s voice was always the heart and soul of MTB, and it hasn’t aged a day.

For the crowd that assembled under the I-787 overpass last Thursday afternoon, the Marshall Tucker Band gave them a healthy dose of triple lead-guitar drenched southern rock complete with a killer retrospective survey of the band’s greatest hits.
