The Hudson Music Project

When the festival organizers announced the first round of bands for the inaugural Hudson Music Project in Saugerties, it was April 1, and more than a few folks thought it was just another April Fools prank. I mean, really, the Flaming Lips, Kendrick Lamar, Modest Mouse, Bassnectar, Big Gigantic, Moby, ZZ Ward, Atmosphere, STS9, Matt & Kim and so many others all playing together at the Winston Farm, where the Woodstock ’94 fest – the Woodstock reunion that didn’t burn to the ground – was held 20 years ago?

Yeah, that almost sounded too good to be true. But it wasn’t…

And now, nearly two months later, the fest has announced the second (and final) round of bands who will be filling in the line-up over the course of the three-day fest, which runs from Friday-Sunday, July 11-13.

It’s On: Big Music Fest Coming to Saugerties

The Hudson Music Project

The name has changed, but apparently it’s full steam ahead for the big music fest planned for this summer at Winston Farm in Saugerties.

The Hudson Project, as it’s now being called, has also been downsized a bit from four to three days. The fest is now slated to run from Friday-Sunday, July 11-13, at the site of the 1994 Woodstock festival. Concert promoters MCP Presents announced that the fest will feature “the ultimate fusion of over 85 genre-defying musical acts.” The fest will feature four musical stages as well as an interactive performance area for local musicians and performance artists.
