(SOFA Entertainment, 2011):

Today marks the 47th anniversary of the Rolling Stones’ debut performance on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” They played “Time Is On my Side” and a cover of Chuck Berry’s “Around and Around.”

The Stones appeared on “The Ed Sullivan Show” six times between 1964-1969, and it’s marvelous to see the growth of the band over the course of those five short years.

On Tuesday, November 1, the deluxe version of “The Ed Sullivan Show Starring the Rolling
Stones” will be released in a 2-DVD set, featuring all six of the Stones’ appearances. And not just the Stones, either, but rather six full episodes, so you get to see the Stones in context to the popular culture spinning around them.
