As for that outfit that poor little Susan is wearing, well, I guess that’s what happens when you let your mother in your band…

The Susan Cowsill Band will perform at the Colony Cafe in Woodstock at 8pm on Friday. Tix are $15.

Song of the Week: Crescent City Snow

July 10th, 2009, 9:20 am by Sara

Seeing the Cowsills on Wednesday reminded me of how much I love this song. Susan Cowsill wrote and recorded it in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, which claimed the life of her brother, Barry Cowsill.

It’s a beautiful and poignant love letter to the City of New Orleans and a paean to the resilience of the human spirit.
