Schoharie is once again hosting its Concerts in the Courtyard series this summer. Concerts run from 7-9pm on Fridays in the county courtyard on Main Street, unless otherwise noted. Rain location for concerts will be at the Fox Creek Park pavilion.

Tonight (Friday, July 11): Moonshine Junkies (country favorites)
July 18, 7-10pm: The All Paul Show (Beatles tribute band) under the pavilion in Fox Creek Park
July 25: Blues Maneuver (jazz and blues)
August 1: 5 Zero (progressive classic rock)

Festival Fever: Schoharie Rock the Valley Fest, 9/21/13

A fundraiser for the Schoharie Fire Department, the third annual Schoharie Rock the Valley fest is taking place on Saturday (September 21) from 12noon til 12midnight in downtown Schoharie near the Parrot House. Admission is free, but donations to the fire department are encouraged.

There will be Fireman Games in the morning (beginning at 9am) and Bed Races in the afternoon (beginning at 1pm), in addition to a beer tent, food court, kids’ activity area and lots of vendors.

And let’s not forget the music. Lots of it – loud ‘n’ rockin’.

Pretty scary, eh kids? Haunted Cave @ Howe Caverns 10/30/09

HoweCavernsHowe Caverns is presenting their 27th Annual Halloween Celebration this Friday, and it’s for a good cause – all proceeds benefit the Marathon for a Better Life Cancer Walk of Schoharie County. There’s a self-guided tour along the cave passages with about 20 unique scenes and scary surprises in the Winding Way. You’re welcome to come in costume (and dress warmly – it’s a constant 52 degrees in the caves.)

Ticket sales are from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Admission: $10 Adults | $5 child (12 and younger).
Howe Caverns is located halfway between Albany and Cooperstown, off Exit 22 of I-88.
