They made their Saratoga Springs debut back in 2004 at the now-defunct Club Caroline, and the Boston-based Ryan Montbleau Band has been steadily growing its Spa City fan base ever since. Their most recent Saratoga appearance back in April was a sold-out bash at Putnam Den.
Well, since then Montbleau released his latest album, For Higher. Produced by Ben Ellman of Galactic, the album was recorded in New Orleans with an all-star session band that included uber funkmaster-bassist George Porter Jr., keyboardist Ivan Neville, guitarist Anders Osborne and drummer Simon Lott.
Now the Ryan Montbleau Band is headed back to Putnam Den on Saturday night (November 17), and you won’t want to miss it. Singer-songwriter Jonah Smith opens the show in support of his latest album, “Little Known Cure.” Doors open at 8pm; music starts at 9pm. Tickets are $15.
BUT WAIT… we’re giving away a pair of FREE TICKETS for Saturday’s show to a lucky Nippertown reader! To enter the contest, just post a comment below. Please leave your email address, too.
