The solo acoustic concert by popster Richard Marx that was slated for Thursday, September 29 at the Schenectady County Community College’s Carl B. Taylor Auditorium has been postponed – another victim of the recent Hurricane Irene-related floods that delayed the opening of the college earlier this month.
According to Marx’s website:
“The flooding that resulted from Hurricane Irene and its aftermath closed SCCC for almost two weeks, just as ticket sales were beginning, and valuable promotion time and planning were lost. As this was to be a fundraiser for SCCC’s new Music Building, concert planners in consultation with Marx’s team have decided to postpone the concert to ensure the opportunity for maximum support for this worthy cause.”
Tix refunds are available at the place of purchase. No new date has been set for the concert at this time. Stay tuned for further details…
