Poets in the Park is a month-long series of weekly readings that take place at the foot of the Robert Burns statue in Albany’s Washington Park. The series was started more than 20 years ago by the late Tom Nattell, and Albany poet Dan Wilcox now runs the readings, which will be held at 7pm on Saturdays throughout this month.

The readings are free, although donations are appreciated. Rain location for the readings is the Social Justice Center in Albany.

The schedule of poets for the 2012 Poets in the Park series are:

Saturday (July 7): Adrianna Delgado and Howard Kogan

July 14: Donald Lev and Don Levy

July 21: Women Poets of Willett Street: Sylvia Barnard and Carolee Sherwood

July 28: Kevin Peterson and Tenesha Smith
