Poetry alfresco

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

Amongst the trees and leaves of grass, the Poetry in the Park summer reading series returns to Albany’s Washington Park on the next three Saturday evenings. Hosted by Dan Wilcox, the readings will take place at the Robert Burns statue (near Willett and Hudson) at 7pm, and of course, admission is free.

Here’s the line-up of performing poets:

July 11: Mary Kathryn Jablonski and Randall Horton

July 18: LisaAnn LoBasso and Tom Nicotera

July 25: Lori Desrosiers and George Wallace

The Social Justice Center at 33 Central Ave. is the rain location. Poets in the Park is sponsored by the Poetry Motel Foundation and the Hudson Valley Writers Guild.
