Operation Swan Dive, August 15-16

Friday, July 31st, 2009

Here’s something that you definitely don’t hear too much about – a combination skydiving/rock and roll festival.

Yes, you read that right.

The third annual Operation Swan Dive is a two-day skydiving/rock and roll festival that’s slated to take place at SkyDive Pepperell in Pepperell, Mass. on Saturday and Sunday, August 15-16.

Organized by Jenny Amidio and Jen Way, the fest – which features skydiving during the days as well as a Saturday night concert at the drop-site – is a charity fundraising event for Lyrics for Life, the non-profit, cancer-fighting charity founded by Sister Hazel frontman Ken Block. Proceeds will also benefit two local charities – Camp Sunshine and Jaiden’s Angels.

This year’s Saturday night barbecue and concert features performances by Ken Block, Andrew Hoover and Alexis Babini.
