Paul Cebar and his band rolled into Lake George on Wednesday, August 26 to wrap up the free Wednesday night concert series in Shepard Park.

And though the crowd may have been a bit smaller than usual, there were quite a few enthusiastic fans in the audience, including Greenwich’s David Greenberger who collaborated with Cebar and his bandmates on the new spoken-word-with-music album, “Cherry Picking Apple Blossom Time.”

Cebar’s music is difficult to describe, but easy to simply enjoy. On the band’s new album, “Tomorrow Sound Now for Yes Music People,” Cebar and his cohorts stir up a musical gumbo of vintage R&B, New Orleans soul, sinewy Afro-Caribbean rhythms and various other global grooves.

Greenberger has got hold of it by the neck, and thankfully he won’t let go. He’s been doing it for three decades now as the writer, editor and all-around office boy at the Duplex Planet, a little homemade magazine that’s grown into something of an empire over the years.
